Parish Groups

The Respect Life Group meetings will take place on the first Thursday of every month at 6:30 pm in Sacred Heart Church's Library.  Check the parish bulletin for any additional details or updates.  We hope you will join us as we develop this new respect life vision in our parish.  Please email or call Joanna Wissler [email protected] or 508-243-5307 for more information.

In addition, the Respect Life Group of Transfiguration of the Lord Parish is pleased to announce that we will lead a Rosary for Life at 4:00 pm, prior to the 4:30 pm daily Mass in Saint Mark Church on the first, second, fourth, and fifth Tuesday of each month. The communal Rosary is also livestreamed for any participants who wish to join us remotely.

Looking for another way to deepen your spirituality? Do you have “knots” in your life that you need help undoing? Please join us on the third Tuesday of each month for “Prayer and Pizza”. Following the 4:30 pm Mass at Saint Mark Church, we will pray the rosary together, which will be offered up to Mary, Undoer of Knots (maryundoerofknots.com). After prayer we will gather in the parish hall for pizza and conversation.

As St. Padre Pio said, “The rosary is the weapon for these times…”. Whether you pray the rosary daily or have never prayed it before, please consider joining us for “Prayer and Pizza”

 Ladies, this group is exclusively for women who want to know more about their faith. This is taught by women, who like you, are yearning to know more about their faith. We are not religious scholars nor do we have theology degrees. We’re just like you, regular people, who want to dive into our faith.

Do you feel you don’t know enough to join? Think again! We help each other gain insights into the Bible that help us in our everyday life. The conversations we have are down to earth with AHA moments sprinkled in.

There are three groups, meeting either on Zoom or in person, at night or in the morning. Each group independently studies different parts of the Bible. As a result, each group has their own field of study. 

Starting in early September 2024, the Women’s Spirituality Group meetings are:

Mornings: In person, meet on Wednesdays from 9:30 am - 11 am.

Evenings: On Zoom, meet on Tuesdays from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm.

Evenings: On Zoom, meets biweekly on Wednesdays from 7 pm - 8:30 pm.
